Planes... You can fly into Glacier Park Int'l Airport on America West, Northwest, Delta/Sky West, and Alaska/Horizon airlines. Whitefish is a 10-15 minute drive from the airport which is located on Hwy 2, half way between Whitefish and Kalispell. Rental cars can be booked through Hertz, National, Avis and Budget who all have locations inside the airport. |

Trains... The Whitefish Train Depot is located in downtown Whitefish. Daily Amtrak passenger service the on the Empire Builder runs between Seattle/Portland and Chicago. The train from the east arrives daily in the PM,the train from the west arrives daily in the AM. |

& Automobiles If you plan to drive, the scenery on the way to Whitefish from every direction is fabulous. Why drive? Sometimes the flights into the valley are filled. Should this happen to you and threaten your vacation dates, you can fly into other "near-by" cites, rent a car and drive to Whitefish. By car, the trip is about 6 hours from Spokane, WA, 6 hours from Calgary, Alberta, 2½ hours from Missoula, MT and 10 hours from Seattle, WA or Portland, OR. |
